When you join the DAR, you enter a network of more than 175,000 women who form lifelong bonds, honor our Revolutionary War ancestors, and serve our communities. The Princess Hirrihigua Chapter welcomes new members who are interested in patriotism, education, and historic preservation. We encourage prospective members to visit our chapter, which meets on the second Saturday of the month, September through May. Our business meeting with speaker is followed by refreshments. Please contact us if you are interested in DAR membership and attending our meetings.
Any female 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage and death, as well as of the Revolutionary War service of her patriot ancestor.
This DAR membership link will give you more details about a patriot's "acceptable service."
You may also e-mail our membership chairman, for information on joining DAR.
